Two Good Books on Poop
In honor of World Book Day I give you two good (children's) books on poop. Immensely helpful in potty training.
Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi
Caroline loved this book &, for a while, every family visitor had to read it. Watching their uncomfortable performances was the best part. And a friend (Maria, this is you) admitted that her son carries his copy everywhere with him in his backpack. Emergency bathroom reading I guess. Great for taking the mystery and embarrassment out of poop.
Zoo Poo by Richard Morgan
Apparently kids are fascinated by how other animals go #2. Charlie visits the zoo and his poor stuffed animal gets in some unpleasant situations. Charlie's visits to the potty garner lots of praise, and that seems to be Caroline's favorite part. Especially because she expects a treat every. single. time. she gets on the potty.
What books or other things have been helpful for you guys?
P.S. We are on day 2 of no paci! Caroline has been "borrowing" Henry's paci during naptime for the past week or so (she lost hers and I made sure it was never found). Yesterday I said he needed his paci back, and she asked, "What can I put in my mouth?" I gave her a toothbrush. She was happy.
