Friday Favorites - What made you happy this week?
What a great week - if a bit weird. We are all in different cities & places. Still, lots to be happy about as I reflect on the week's events.
- Pat coming home from the hospital. YAY. And it has been really nice to get to cook for him and Mom. Missing my kitchen though! I've been thinking lots about the ingredients I always have on hand & my favorite weeknight meals - will share next week.
- Your comments. The comments I've gotten this week from hoppers & new readers (especially those on the endangered species of stylish moms) totally cracked me up. And I wish I could respond more effectively! This post from The Type A Housewife really resonated - some good tips in her comments that I will try to incorporate.
- Caroline having her first sleep over with Cousin Sofia. No separation anxiety for her! I will be hearing more about big girl beds for sure. Any tips on making the transition? We've been stalling for forever now.
Now your turn. What made you happy this week? Leave me a comment ... you know how those make my day!

Hi Stephanie,
I'm coming through the Frugal Fridays blog hop and following you now.
The thing that made me happy this week was having dinnertime conversations with my kids.
My 11 year-old son finally told me that he wants to get into woodworking. I am so excited about that. I homeschool so I have been wondering what I could introduce to him. Now, I have some direction with him. :)

We started out Sharky with his big boy bed by showing him another fun thing about it...doubles as a trampoline!!! He only jumped on it for one day, and quickly realized it was for sleeping :) Good luck
I hope you have a good week too!
I'm following from the blog hop.
I'd love a follow back at www.mikaspantry.blogspot.com

What a cute picture! Aww. :)
Thanks for the mention. I still find myself frustrated over the commenting thing--I'm hoping that when Blogger rolls out all those promised changes this year, more WP-like comments are included. Otherwise, I'm jumping ship!
Aw what a cute picture! Thanks for following and joining the blog hop :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Pat says what made him happy this week was "Coming home and feeling all the love from my fam!" Also watching Sofia and Caroline head off together on their first "sleep over"! As for me, I am so very happy and thankful that Pat is home and doing well...I am also thankful for the great care he recieved from the excellent physicians and nurses at Baptist Hospital. And last but not least, my loving, caring family continue to be my happiness.

What made me happy this week was watching Sofia and her cousin Caroline have so much fun together. I'm happy they'll get to grow up together and share so many fun experiences. As a stranger told us, they are our sweet "chocolate and vanilla girls!"
This week went by so fast I really don't even remember it :-)
Stopping by for Bee Friendly Friday.

Loving the sleepover pic! They are too cute! My older two had a really easy time transitioning to a big bed. The third, not so much. Wondering how it'll go with #4 :)
My 2-yr old's first potty-poop made me happy this week! And surviving my daughter's 3-day field trip with daddy gone as a chaperone, leaving me to take on the other 3 all by my lonesome... success = happy :)
I am new follower... loving your blog so far :) Would be flattered if you'd check me out, too!
I just love this picture! It reminds me of my two girls. I'm following you from The Mom Road.
Thank you for coming over to my blog! This photo is too sweet, and makes me a little less nervous for when we tackle the big boy bed!
